Promobot
Promobot is a major European manufacturer of autonomous service robots focused on business and public interaction. Its primary offering is the Promobot V.4, a humanoid service robot standing roughly 1.5–2m tall (with adjustable torso) and weighing up to about 130kg. It features dual arms with 6–7 degrees of freedom for gesturing and light manipulation, a rotating head and torso, RGB LED face for expressions, a 10.1-inch touchscreen, face recognition cameras, omnidirectional microphones, speakers, 3D sensors, LiDAR, and ultrasonic arrays for autonomous indoor navigation and obstacle avoidance.
Key capabilities include natural dialogue and multilingual conversation, document scanning, e-queue management, payment processing, printing of receipts/passes/photos, and integration with third-party enterprise systems. Battery life supports up to around 8 hours of continuous operation with autonomous docking to charging stations. Primary uses are as consultants, promoters, administrative assistants, guides, and concierges in hotels, banks, clinics, museums, business centers, airports, retail, and events -- handling customer engagement, information provision, and routine tasks to augment or reduce staff workload.
Promobot robots operate in 40+ countries with hundreds of deployments, emphasizing reliable public-space autonomy, human-machine interaction, and practical business automation. The company also develops collaborative industrial arms including the M13 for packaging, assembly, and handling, but the service humanoid line remains central for customer-facing roles.
