DEEP Robotics
DEEP Robotics, a pioneering Chinese robotics company founded in 2017 and headquartered in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, is redefining automation with its advanced quadruped and humanoid robots. With a recent $69.7 million Series B+ funding round, the company is accelerating innovation in embodied AI, focusing on applications in industrial inspections, emergency rescue, and research. DEEP Robotics' flagship Jueying series, including the Jueying X20 and X30, has set industry benchmarks for rugged, all-weather robots capable of navigating complex terrains and extreme conditions, from -20 degrees C to 55 degrees C. By integrating AI-driven perception and motion control, DEEP Robotics is leading the global robotics market, projected to surpass $100 billion in 2025, with solutions tailored for power utilities, construction, and public safety.
The Jueying X30, a standout in DEEP Robotics' portfolio, is designed for industrial inspections in harsh environments like power stations and tunnels, offering a 25 kg payload capacity and IP67 weather protection. The Lynx M20, a wheel-legged robot launched in April 2024, introduces groundbreaking terrain flexibility, autonomously navigating rugged landscapes and hazardous settings with AI-powered obstacle avoidance. For research and education, the Jueying Lite3 provides a compact, agile platform with a 5–7 kg payload, ideal for academic exploration and light-duty tasks. These robots leverage Arm-powered Rockchip RK3588 SoCs for energy-efficient, high-performance computing, enabling longer missions and seamless integration into "dark factory" automation systems.
DEEP Robotics is also making strides in humanoid robotics with the DR01, unveiled at the 2024 World Robot Conference, marking its entry into embodied AI for education, research, and entertainment. The company’s "Cloud DEEP AI+ Plan" enhances robots like the Wukong-IV humanoid with advanced perception, decision-making, and human-machine collaboration capabilities, targeting diverse sectors from healthcare to logistics. With partnerships including Lenovo, State Grid, and Singapore Power Group, DEEP Robotics is expanding its global footprint, delivering robots that enhance safety and efficiency in high-risk environments. As the robotics industry grows, DEEP Robotics' innovative quadruped and humanoid platforms position it as a key player in shaping the future of automation.
